Foster Wild Rice papers, 1945-1957.

This collection consists of correspondence, printed material, and photographs gathered by Foster Wild Rice as he prepared a biography of his great-grandfather, Nathaniel Jocelyn. Jocelyn was an artist in New Haven, Connecticut. The biography comprises four volumes, which are included in the collection. There is also an earlier draft of the first book, which is split into three volumes. Photographs may be found among the correspondence as well as in the volumes.
